On October 12, we held a special open meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council in the national park visitor center. The agenda included discussion of the draft regulation on the Commander Islands National Park. 

The meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council aimed to acquaint Nikolskoye villagers with the most important parts of the Regulation, which will impact the future use of natural resources and life on the islands. We discussed functional zoning of the national park, as well as special protection regime of the national park territory.

All the details of the zoning of the national park and protection of the territory are set out in a special issue of the national park Herald, which is available free of charge in the shops of the Nikolskoye village. In addition for this issue of the Herald, we have prepared special maps, which outline the areas of permitted nature use. You can download the issue on our    web-site.
