Just the other day, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects  accepted the last applications for the All-Russian competition for the creation of tourist and recreational clusters and the development of ecotourism in Russia. 115 teams submitted their projects for the development of tourism infrastructure in 68 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Initially, as many as 523 specially protected natural areas of federal and regional significance were preparing projects, but only about half of them managed to fully assemble teams and prepare the necessary documents on time.

The Commander Islands Nature and Biosphere Reserve would like to wish all the participants good luck in the competition and patience in the implementation of their plans. Now it's up to us. On July 13th,  popular vote  started on the competition website, in which you can vote for your favorite projects. In total, the organizers will select 10 winning projects, which are aimed at the development of protected areas and adjacent territories and the cooperation of regional interdisciplinary teams. We will learn about the results of the first round on July 28, and the final winners will be announced only on October 16.
